If AI is writing your Substack, I’m probably unsubscribing

Sorry not sorry (+ how you should use AI to boost your content, not create it)

I unfollowed a VERY big influencer this week because all of her posts have become AI generated. I get the appeal, because it’s easy… just give it some ideas and poof, copy and paste, you can upload a Substack or post in no time. Bonus points if people pay you for these thoughts (although I will say, I feel sorry for them…).

AI can be a wonderful tool. One of my friends, whom English isn’t her first language, uses it to clean up her thoughts, and honestly that’s such a great use for it. It helps her say what she already means to say… but in English. The ideas are still hers, the voice is still hers, and the perspective is still hers.

But when you’re leaning on it for all of your content and simply copying and pasting, you’re GOING to lose what makes you YOU, what makes people love you, your content, your vibe, your spark.

And readers can tell IMMEDIATELY…. I know I can!
